New Hampshire Rate of reported COVID-19 cases more than triple in past month

New Hampshire health officials said Tuesday that the state is now averaging 434 reported new cases per day, the highest rate since Feb. 15. The rate of new cases has risen 231% since April 2.

There are 3,128 known active cases of COVID-19 in the state, the most since Feb. 16.

Covid's toll in the U.S. reaches 1 million deaths

The U.S. on Wednesday surpassed 1 million Covid-19 deaths, according to data compiled by NBC News — a once unthinkable scale of loss even for the country with the world's highest recorded toll from the virus.
