Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of a new quarterly journal, 
International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction.
International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction is affiliated with the Global Risk Forum GRF Davos and will be launched officially at the 4th International Disaster and Risk Conference (IDRC) in Davos, Switzerland, August 26-30, 2012.
The combination of the world’s growing population, expanding urbanization and globalization and now climate change, has greatly aggravated the risk potential of natural and technological disasters to all communities and nations.
