> Proving the Market for Deep Energy Retrofits
> May 30, 2018
>
> Clean Energy Connections brings you a moderated discussion on deep energy efficiency retrofits in NYC.
>
> At 67%, buildings are the biggest driver of citywide GHG emissions. And with nearly one million buildings, the complexity and magnitude of this problem is enormous. In order to reach our goal of reducing emissions 80% by 2050, we need to develop replicable, scalable solutions for significant energy efficiency retrofits on our existing building stock. Deep energy retrofits holistically address the heating and cooling systems as well as the building envelope and can achieve upwards of 40-60% in reduced energy use.
>
> NYC and NY State have developed innovative programs to accelerate deep energy efficiency retrofits. Hear from key policymakers, manufacturers, and industry experts as they discuss success stories, industry challenges, and a path towards reaching these goals.
