Subject: Hurricane Dorian Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA)

Greetings Recovery Partners,

As we are very close to meeting the FEMA damage threshold we will be moving forward with a Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA).  This PDA will include ALL eligible applicants in Broward County.  This includes County agencies, municipalities, School boards, water management and hospital districts, constitutional offices and eligible non-profit agencies.

Different from prior disasters the State will be conducting a desktop PDA in lieu of coming to Broward County.  Eligible applicants will be required to submit their numbers with a copy of the backup to Broward Emergency Management to be forwarded to the State as a package from Broward County.   If and when we are declared each applicant will be responsible for applying for reimbursement individually.

In order to discuss the PDA, documentation requirements and submission process we will be hosting conference calls according to the following schedule:

Wednesday, September 18th @ 2:30pm For all other applicants
Friday, September 20th @10am For all other applicants

The call in information is as follows:
(954)395-2401
Participant Code is 766606

We strongly encourage you to participate in the Conference Calls.  All documentation will be due on Tuesday, October 1 at Noon.  Be advised that this is an extended deadline that is not usually afforded to applicants in the PDA process and absolutely must be adhered to without exception.   Equally important we need everyone’s participation so that we can hit the threshold for the County, if we fail to have sufficient documented damages then no one in the county will be eligible for reimbursement for Hurricane Dorian.

This notification will go to all agencies who applied during Hurricane Irma as well as the LTRC distribution list as we  desire for every eligible agency in Broward to be afforded the opportunity to participate in the FEMA Public Assistance Program.
