Hello my friends,

I need some help.  I am having problems sharing this via facebook, as I am locked out of my account.  I would appreciate if you can share this video piece I did of Scott Stripling from the Surfrider Miami’s Blue Water Task Force on results and test done between September 12-15th.  Even though the beaches are reopened, the will close again.  It is important during this budget review cycle that our leaders our aware of what is important and what is really going on.

We need to be good stewards and also shine a light on the great work the Blue Water Task Force and Miami Waterkeepers are doing to check Miami-Dade Water & Sewer, DERM, Miami-Dade County Government, City of Miami Government, City of Miami Beach Government and associated municipalities on the real disaster that is unfolding here in Miami with our watershed.  8 beach closures at one time is unprecedented and unacceptable.  This does not even address the other no contact orders in place and the fact that we are in a consent decree with the federal government due to poor water quality.  It is time that we raise our voices and make this the sentinal issue of our fight.

Please share this link far and wide and please come to the Sea Level Rise Committee Workshop on 9/25/18 at the MRC...444 SW 2nd Ave. Miami, FL 33130…10th Floor…City Manager’s Conference Room and the Sea Level Rise Committee on 10/01/18 at City Hall main chambers to bring awareness to this issue.  Hopefully we can get the committee to pass some of the motions I am bringing forward which address some of these concerns.  Thank you very much.
