Minnesota coronavirus cases traced to Trump, Biden campaign events: reports

More than two dozen cases of coronavirus have been traced to Minnesota campaign events for President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden, state officials said this week.
Sixteen cases were linked to an outdoor Trump event at an airport in Bemidji on Sept. 18; three cases to a Trump event in Duluth on Sept. 30; and three cases to a Trump 2020 event featuring Vice President Mike Pence at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Sept. 24, The Hill reported.
At the Bemidji event, four of the cases were reported by protesters, the report said.
At least one person with the virus attended both the Duluth and Twin Cities airport events, state infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann told the news outlet.
State officials reported two cases linked to Biden events – one at a Duluth event on Sept. 16 and another at a Brooklyn Park event on Sept. 22 – but the Biden campaign later claimed no event was held in Brooklyn Park on that day, according to The Hill...
Minnesota health officials say President Trump was likely already infected with the virus when he attended the Duluth event Sept. 30 because he confirmed his own case of the virus just two days later. Those contracting the virus are typically infectious for several days before symptoms begin to appear, the officials told the Press. ...
